Market Preview: Wall Street Poised For Higher Open On Initial Claims Data

In the week ending April 2, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 382,000, a decrease of 10,000 from the previous week's revised figure of 392,000. The 4-week moving average was 389,500, a decrease of 5,750 from the previous week's revised average of 395,250.

Stocks fell in the early hour of the day trading. The Dow Jones lost 42.23 points or 0.34 percent to 12,357.80, NASDAQ lost 3.75 points or 0.13 percent to 2,798.93 and S&P; 500 was 2.65 points or 0.20 percent down at 1,330.22.
