As the Wall Street plunge on global financial fears, several stocks recorded a new 52-week high/low. Some notable stocks are discussed here.

52 Week Highs:

Netflix Inc. (Nasdaq: NFLX) recorded an all time and a 52-week high of $301.50 a share in the morning session of trading Monday. The stock reached its all time high with a trading volume of 1.2 million shares. Shares of Netflix are currently trading lower by 1.15 percent to $291.75 a share.

Syms Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMS) hit a new 52-week high of $12.99 a share on volume of 10 thousand shares. Syms had reported its first quarter FY 2011 financial results on Friday after the closing bell. SYMS is trading up by 1.22 percent to $12.86 on Monday.

Arch Chemicals Inc. (NYSE: ARJ) recorded a new 52-week high of $46.96 a share on trading volume of 5 million shares, after the company announced that it has agreed to be acquired by Lonza Group Ltd. for $1.2 billion in cash. Average trading volume of the stock is 197 thousand shares. ARJ is currently trading higher by 11.10 percent to $46.85 a share.

TJX Companies Inc. (NYSE: TJX) hit a new 52-week high of $55.93 a share, after analysts at Barclays Capital upgraded the stock to overweight from equal weight. TJX is currently trading higher by 0.80 percent to $55.60 today.

Downgrades:

Prudential Bancorp Inc. of Pennsylvania (Nasdaq: PBIP) recorded a new 52-week low of $5.38 a share on trading volume 1 thousand shares. PBIP is a mid-tier holding company for Prudential Savings Bank. PBIP is currently trading lower by 2.61 percent to $5.60 on Monday.

Bank of America Corp. (NYSE: BAC) hit a new low at $10.36 a share, on trading volume of 52 million shares. The average trading volume of BAC is 142 million shares. The drop was seen as the broader financial market fell after Euro-zone crisis resurfaced. BAC is currently trading lower by 3.04 percent to $10.38 a share.

Shaw Group Inc. (NYSE: SHAW) recorded a new 52-week low of $27.07 a share on trading volume of 481 thousand shares on Monday. The stock fell sharply after analyst at Robert W. Baird downgraded the stock rating to neutral from outperform. SHAW is trading lower by 4.48 percent to $27.07 today.
