"Today, we're announcing that Chrome offers controls that enable information technology administrators to easily configure and deploy the browser on Windows, Mac and Linux, according to their business requirements," Google project manager Glenn Wilson said in a joint statement with programmer Daniel Clifford.

Google added a few features for corporate customers, Cnet reported.

Most prominent of these is a Windows policy template that gives information technology managers more control over settings throughout a business network.

Chrome is now used for 10 percent of searches worldwide. To push that to the corporate level, Google said consumers could drop a hint at their place of employment.

"Let your administrator know to give it a try and let us know what they think," the statement said.
