Yingli Green Energy updates financial outlook

BAODING, Nov. 3, 2010 (Xinhua News Agency) -- With better than expected average selling price and improving operating efficiency of new 400 MW production lines, Yingli Green Energy (NYSE:YGE) Holding Company Limited (YGE.NYSE), a leading solar energy company and one of the world's largest vertically integrated photovoltaic manufacturers, is confident in achieving a 30 percent to 32 percent gross margin in the third quarter of 2010, compared to previous estimated range of 28 percent to 30 percent, according to Zongwei Li, Director and Chief Financial Officer of Yingli Green Energy.

The company expects a mid-20 percent increase in shipment quarter over quarter in the third quarter of 2010, in line with previous estimates. (Edited by Yang Liu, yangliu@xinhua.org)
