Oct. 16, 2010 (United Press International) -- Mike Hartline hit Randall Cobb for a 24-yard touchdown with 1:15 left Saturday, completing Kentucky's 31-28 upset of No. 12 South Carolina.
Anthony Mosley sealed the deal for the Wildcats with an end zone interception.
Hartline completed 32-of-42 passes for 349 yards and four touchdowns for Kentucky (4-3, 1-3 SEC), which had trailed 28-10 at halftime. It was the Wildcats' first win over the Gamecocks in 11 meetings dating to Oct. 9, 1999, when Kentucky posted a 30-10 victory in Columbia.
Cobb finished with eight receptions for 63 yards. He also rushed eight times for 27 yards. Chris Matthews caught 12 passes for 177 yards and a score while La'Rod King caught four passes for 38 yards and two touchdowns.
The Gamecocks' Stephen Garcia was 20-of-32 passing for 382 yards and two touchdowns, but was intercepted twice. Freshman Marcus Lattimore rushed 15 times for 79 yards and two scores for South Carolina (4-2, 2-2 SEC), which had upset top-ranked Alabama last week. He also caught four passes for 133 yards and a touchdown, but sat out most of the second half with a left ankle injury.
