Oct. 5, 2010 (Business Wire) -- Mo-DV Inc., provider of a patented leading edge multiplatform video player with DRM technology today announced it is contributing to vital projects and causes with revenue from sales of their products as well as using Public Service Announcements (PSAs) on select memory devices.

Through new and exclusive partnerships that will allow Mo-DV to be both actionable and visible advocates of good works, they are donating a percentage of revenues to and building awareness for three critical environmental projects.

Inspired by the prospect of saving species from extinction, which was punctuated by the birth of the pair of endangered clouded leopard cubs in the Smithsonian Zoo, Mo-DV is contributing revenue toward saving additional species on the extinction list with improved processes and better equipment. Mo-DV is also boosting visibility and raising public consciousness by including Public Service Announcements (PSAs) on all possible memory cards or USB drives sold. These SD micro cards and USB drives contain Mo-DV’s patented software which is licensed to content providers, hardware providers, carriers, and memory makers for use in 81 fields including the motion picture industry, healthcare, religion, training and education, and government.

In addition, Mo-DV is spotlighting and generating revenue for Kaisei Project, an ongoing cleanup effort to remove a mass of plastic that has collected in the depths of the Pacific Ocean, which has now increased to twice the size of Texas. This is a huge environmental detriment causing colossal harm to ocean life, as numerous marine animals consume and become trapped by this debris.

Mo-DV is also contributing funds to assist with the clean up and wildlife restoration created by the Gulf Oil Spill crisis. With upwards of 400 fish and wildlife species relying on the Gulf Coast for food, cover, and breeding areas, the BP Oil Spill threatens the survival of marine and terrestrial species both now and in the long term.
