Helms had three RBI overall and Dan Uggla drove in two runs with three of Tampa Bay's 10 hits. Florida won its third straight and climbed a game above .500.

After being given the early lead, Alex Sanabia (5-3) survived five innings to get the win, allowing three runs on six hits. Clay Hensley gave up a hit in the ninth en route to his fifth save.

Jonathon Niese (9-10) surrendered six runs on five hits with six walks over 5 2/3 to take the loss. He briefly settled down after the five-run first inning, but was lifted after Helms produced a sacrifice fly in the sixth.

The Mets have lost five straight.

Florida won 12 of the 18 meetings with the Mets this year.
