(TSX)closed lower on Wednesday, with losses in the energy and
financials sectors offsetting gains made in the materials sector,
according to market watchers.
The S&P/TSX composite index fell 23.31 points or 0.19% to
close at 12,147.26 on Wednesday. Trading Volume was 448 million
shares, down from 511.1 million shares on Tuesday. Advances beat
declines 854 to 704.
Six of the TSX's ten sectoral indexes ended higher on
Wednesday.
