Aug. 31, 2010 (United Press International) -- Police were searching for a 27-year-old man indicted in the death of Leshawn "Sugar Shizz" Talbert, who inspired the dance "The Shizz," Louisville police said.
Kenneth Brown was indicted on a murder charge Monday by a Jefferson County, Ky., grand jury, as well as several counts of wanton endangerment, tampering with physical evidence and possession of a handgun by a felon, The (Louisville) Courier-Journal reported.
Talbert was shot Aug. 18 in the Okolona neighborhood of Louisville, fleeing what police said they thought was a drug transaction that went awry, Lt. Barry Wilkerson, Louisville Metro Police homicide unit commander, said during a news conference Monday.
Brown was on parole in Kentucky after being convicted of aggravated assault in Mississippi, Wilkerson said.
Talbert was known for a dance he created that inspired the rap song, "Do the Shizz," by Louisville rap artist Kenzo.
