Direxion Daily Technology Bull 3X Shares (NYSEArca: TYH) was one of the biggest losers among the ETFs. The fund slumped 2.96% to close at $24.58. The Technology Bull 3X Shares seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, of 300% of the price performance of the Russell 1000 Technology Index.
Standard & Poor's Depositary Re (NYSEArca: SPY), as usual, was the most active ETF by share volume. The fund seeks to correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the S&P 500 Index. SPDR Trust is an exchange-traded fund that holds all of the S&P 500 Index stocks. SPY closed at $105.23 and had a volume of 221.486M shares.
