UltraShort Silver ProShares (NYSEArca: ZSL) was one of the biggest gainers among the ETFs on Friday August 20. The fund rallied 3.80% to close at $33.86. ProShares UltraShort Silver seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, that correspond to twice (200%) the inverse (opposite) of the daily performance of silver bullion as measured by the U.S. Dollar fixing price for delivery in London.

Direxion Daily Energy Bull 3X Shares (NYSEArca: ERX) was one of the biggest losers among the ETFs. The fund slumped 3.60% to close at $26.79. The Energy Bull 3X Shares seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, of 300% of the price performance of the Russell 1000 Energy Index ("Energy Index").

Standard & Poor's Depositary Re (NYSEArca: SPY), as usual, was the most active ETF by share volume. The fund seeks to correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the S&P 500 Index. SPDR Trust is an exchange-traded fund that holds all of the S&P 500 Index stocks. SPY closed at $107.53 and had a volume of 208.126M shares.
