PowerShares DB Agriculture Double Long ETN (NYSEArca: DAG) was one of the biggest gainers among the ETFs on Wednesday. The fund rallied 5.23% to close at $8.46. The fund seeks to replicate as closely as possible, before fees and expenses, the price and yield performance of the Deutsche Bank Liquid Commodity index - Optimum Yield Agriculture. The fund is a senior unsecured obligation that allows investors to take a leveraged view on the performance of the agriculture sector. The index is composed of roughly equal percentages of corn, wheat, soybean, and sugar futures contracts.

Direxion Daily Small Cap Bear 3X Shares (NYSEArca: TZA) was one of the biggest losers among the ETFs. The fund slumped 2.98% to close at $29.91. The Small Cap Bear 3X Shares seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, of 300% of the inverse (or opposite) of the price performance of the Russell 2000® ("Small Cap Index"). 

Standard & Poor's Depositary Re (NYSEArca: SPY), as usual, was the most active ETF by share volume. The fund seeks to correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the S&P 500 Index. SPDR Trust is an exchange-traded fund that holds all of the S&P 500 Index stocks. SPY closed at $112.97 and had a volume of 158.08M shares.
