Orexigen Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: OREX) said late Thursday that results from a company-sponsored study showed that patients taking obesity drug Contrave were two to three times more likely to lose at least 5% or 10% of their body weight compared to those taking placebo. Shares of the biopharmaceutical firm soared more than 15% in after hours trading.
The US Justice Department said late Thursday that it has filed a lawsuit against US business software giant Oracle NASDAQ: ORCL), accusing it of overcharging on a government software contract that ran from 1998 to 2006.
Shares of Google Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOG) fell nearly 1% in after-hours trading after the company said that its internet search engine and advertising platform in China were fully blocked on Thursday.
