BUDAPEST, Jul. 10, 2010 (Xinhua News Agency) -- Agnes Szavay will meet Patty Schnyder in Sunday's final of the GDF Suez (NYSE:SZEZY) (OOTC:GDFZY) (OOTC:GDSZF) WTA event in Budapest.

In the semi-finals on Saturday, Szavay beat Alexandra Dulgheru 6-1, 5-7, 7-5, while Schnyder beat Zuzana Ondraskova 6-2, 4-6, 6-3.

The 21-year-old Hungarian beat the second-seeded Dulgheru in two hours 45 minutes in a dramatic match in heatwave temperatures and in front of a partisan Budapest crowd.

Within 20 minutes, Szavay raced to a 5-0 lead but Dulgheru, despite losing the set, began to tighten her game. The Romanian led 4-1 in the second set before Szavay recovered to lead 5-4.

Dulgheru clawed her way back into the match however and took the second set 7-5. The third set went to serve until Szavay made the decisive break at 5-5.

The 31-year-old Swiss veteran Schnyder was also taken to three sets by surprise package Czech qualifier Ondraskova.

Sunday's final will be a repeat of last year's decider which Szavay won 2-6, 6-4, 6-2. Szavay and Schnyder will be playing for their fourth and 12th career wins respectively.
