TJX Cos. (NYSE: TJX) plunged more than 5% after it reported that comparable store sales for the five-week period ended July 3, 2010, increased 3% over last year. Analysts, on average, were looking for a monthly gain of 4.2 percent.

Shares of DragonWave Inc. (NASDAQ: DRWI) sank 17% after the company said that it expects to report second-quarter revenue of $25 million. Analysts, on average, expect the company to report second-quarter revenue of $48.37 million.

Buckle Inc. (NYSE: BKE) slumped as much as 10% after the retailer announced that comparable store net sales, for stores open at least one year, for the five-week period ended July 3, 2021 decreased 7.3 percent from comparable store net sales for the five-week period ended July 4, 2009. Net sales for the five-week fiscal month ended July 3, 2021 decreased 2.4 percent to $69.2 million from net sales of $70.8 million for the prior year five-week fiscal month ended July 4, 2009.. Analysts, on average, expected an increase of 0.1% in comparable store sales.

Shares of Barrick Gold Corporation (NYSE: ABX) dropped more than 3% as gold futures retreated after euro touched an eight-week high against the dollar. The precious metal declined as investors' appetite for riskier assets returned following better-than-expected economic data and upbeat comments from European Central Bank President Jean- Claude Trichet. Comex Gold futures for August delivery fell $7.90, or 0.7 percent, to $1,191 per ounce at 11:15 a.m.

American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. (NYSE: AEO) fell more than 5% after the retailer said Thursday that comparable store sales decreased 1% for the five weeks ended July 3, 2010. Analysts, on average, expected same-store sales to climb 2% last month. 

Shares of Kohl's Corporation (NYSE: KSS) decreased 5.9 percent after it announced that its same-store sales for the five-week month ended July 3, 2021  increased 5.9 percent. Analysts, on average, expected comparable store sales to increase 6.5% in June.
