Shares of Micrus Endovascular Corp. (NASDAQ: MEND) rallied more than 4% after Standard & Poor's announced Friday that the medical device maker will replace CKE Restaurants Inc. (NYSE: CKR) in the S&P SmallCap 600 index after the close of trading on Wednesday, July 7.
Thor Industries, Inc. (NYSE:THO) soared as much as 11% on Friday, a day after the commercial bus maker said in a regulatory filing that it will not will not restate third quarter earnings.
Answers Corporation (NASDAQ: ANSW) gained more than 9% today after the company announced that it has reached 5 million registered users.
Shares of Orient Paper Inc. (AMEX: ONP) surged $2.13 or 41.85% to $7.22. The Chinese manufacturer and distributor of diversified paper products on Thursday refuted fraud allegations from Muddy Waters Research. The company also denied the firm's allegations that it "overstated its 2008 revenue by 27 times."
Red Robin Gourmet Burgers Inc. (NASDAQ: RRGB) jumped more than 8% after Biglari Holdings Inc. said in a SEC filing that it has increased its stake in the operator of casual-dining restaurants to 6% from 4.73%.
