CarMax Inc. (NYSE: KMX): Shares of the used car retailer jumped more than 5% in after-hours trading after Standard & Poor's announced that CarMax will replace XTO Energy Inc. (NYSE: XTO) in the S&P 500 after the close of trading on Friday, June 25, 2010. Exxon Mobil Inc. (NYSE: XOM) is acquiring XTO Energy in a deal expected to be completed on or about that date, pending final approvals.

McCormick & Co. Inc. (MKC): The company announced late Tuesday that its Board of Directors authorized a new share repurchase program. Under the new program, McCormick is authorized to purchase up to $400 million of its outstanding shares. The company also today declared a quarterly dividend of $0.26 per share on its common stocks payable July 20, 2010, to shareholders of record on July 6, 2010.
