Analysts Upgrades & Downgrades: OSG, ILMN, KEY, FE, ATK, CSX, ORCL, KMB

As the US stock indexes trades mostly lower on mixed corporate earnings on Wednesday, several stocks were either upgraded or downgraded by analysts and rating agencies. Some notable stocks are discussed here.

Overseas Shipholding Group Inc. (NYSE: OSG) has been upgraded by analysts at Deutsche Bank to hold from sell. The bank also raised its price target on the stock to $12 a share from $10 a share. The reason for downgrade was given a valuation call to the investors and clients in a note. OSG is up 1.74 percent to $12.88 a share.

Illumina Inc. (Nasdaq: ILMN) has been upgraded by analysts at Rober W. Baird to outperform from neutral with a raised price target of $60 a share. The brokerage firm said in a note to investors that the company is likely to reject the hostile takeover offer from Roche Holding AG.  ILMN is trading higher by 39.15 percent to $52.44 a share on Wednesday.

Analysts at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods has downgraded the stock rating of KeyCorp (NYSE: KEY) to underperform from market-perform with a revised price target of $8 per share. The brokerage firm said that the company faces growth headwinds going forward. KEY is trading lower by 0.80 percent to $8.07 a share on Wednesday.

Analysts at FBR Capital Markets has downgraded the rating of FirstEnergy Corporation (NYSE: FE) to market-perform from outperform. The brokerage firm reduced the price target on the stock to $40.50 a share and said that the company’s profits will get hurt with lower pricing. FE is down 1.82 percent to $40.52 a share.

Alliant Techsystems Inc. (NYSE: ATK) has been downgraded by analysts at Keybanc to hold from buy. The brokerage firm said in a note to investors, that the company is facing intense competition and has lower budgeting funding, resulting in a downgrade. ATK is down 3.52 percent to $59.14 a share.

Analysts at Robert W. Baird have upgraded the stock rating of CSX Corp. (NYSE: CSX) to outperform from neutral and raised the price target of $26 per share. Baird said that currently the stock is undervalued. CSX is trading higher by 0.46 percent to $21.95.

Oracle Corporation (Nasdaq: ORCL) has been downgraded by analysts at Macquarie to neutral from outperform. The firm said in a note that Oracle’s Exadata is growing slower than expected. ORCL is down 1.48 percent to $28.09 a share.

Analysts at UBS has downgraded the rating of Kimberly-Clark Corporation (NYSE: KMB) to neutral from buy. The firm said in a research note to the investors that the reason for downgrade is the disappointing Q4 results and guidance. The firm also lowered its price target to $75 a share. KMB is trading lower by 0.72 percent to $71.75 a share.
