Analysts Upgrades & Downgrades: RIMM, NUVA, BKYF, WAT, AMAG, PG, AHS, CNQR

As the US stock indexes trade higher on Monday, several stocks were either upgraded or downgraded by analysts and rating agencies. Some notable stocks are discussed here.

Research in Motion Limited (Nasdaq: RIMM) has been upgraded by analyst at Deutsche Bank to hold from sell. The bank also increased its price target to $18 per share from $10 per share. The upgrade came after the company said that its chief operating officer Thorsten Heins would become its chief executive. Co-CEOs Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis are stepping down. RIMM is trading lower by 4.29 percent to $16.27 a share on Monday.

Analysts at Canaccord Genuity brokerage firm has upgraded the stock rating of NuVasive Inc. (Nasdaq: NUVA) to buy from hold. The firm said in a note to investors, that the company’s valuation, new product approvals and launches have given the company a boost. The firm has set a price target of $19 a share. NUVA is up 2.21 percent to $14.31 a share after the upgrade.

Bank of Kentucky Financial Corporation (Nasdaq: BKYF) has been upgraded by analysts at Robert W. Baird to outperform from neutral. The firm also increased its price target on the stock to $27 a share from $24 a share. BKYF is trading higher by 1.88 percent to $22.25 a share, today.

Analyst at JPMorgan has upgraded the stock rating of Waters Corporation (NYSE: WAT) to overweight from neutral, the firm said in a research note to investors and clients. The firm also raised its price target on the stock to $90 per share, from $83 per share. WAT is up 2.58 percent to $80.00 a share.

AMAG Pharmaceuticals Inc. (Nasdaq: AMAG) has been downgraded by analysts at JPMorgan to underweight from neutral. The bank has also reduced its price target on the stock to $12 per share, from $20 a share, it said in a research note to investors on Monday. AMAG is trading at $15.48 a share, down 6.97 percent.

Procter & Gamble Company (NYSE: PG) has been downgraded by analysts at Stifel Nicolaus to hold from buy, the firm said in a research note today. The firm has maintained its previous price target of $70 a share, despite the downgrade. Sifel said the downgrade is a valuation call. PG is down 0.57 percent to $65.85 a share, after the downgrade.

Analysts at BMO Capital brokerage firm has upgraded the stock rating of AMN healthcare Services Inc. (NYSE: AHS) to outperform from market perform on Monday, the firm said in a note to investors and clients. Despite the upgrade the brokerage firm maintains a $7 price target of the stock. AHS is up 4.91 percent to $4.49 a share.

Concur Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: CNQR) has been downgraded by analysts at FBR Capital brokerage firm to market-perform from outperform. The firm said in a note to investors that, the corporate travel backdrop is expected to remain healthy, scope for improvement is seen as constrained for the company. CNQR is down 1.35 percent to $53.19 a share.
