Amidst the positive movement of the U.S. market, few companies declared their future dividend plans. Some notable dividend payers are discussed here.

Chesapeake Energy Corp. (NYSE: CHK) today announced that its Board of Directors has declared a $0.0875 per share quarterly dividend that will be paid on January 31, 2022 to common shareholders of record on January 17, 2012. Chesapeake has approximately 660 million common shares outstanding. Shares fell 1.13 percent, or $0.26, to trade at $22.71.

Zimmer Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: ZMH) announced that its Board of Directors has approved the payment of a quarterly cash dividend to stockholders for the first quarter of 2012. The initial quarterly cash dividend of $0.18 per share will be paid on or about April 27, 2012, to stockholders of record as of the close of business on March 30, 2012. Shares added 2.78 percent, or $1.32, to trade at $48.84.

1st Constitution Bancorp (Nasdaq: FCCY) Board of Directors has declared a 5 percent stock dividend to shareholders of record as of the close of business on January 17, 2012, payable February 2, 2012. Shares were trading at $6.76 with zero percent change on its last close.
