Jefferies Group, Inc. (NYSE: JEF) gained 0.58 percent, or $0.07, to trade at $12.14.The company has reduced exposure to sovereign securities of Portugal, Italy, Spain by almost 50 percent since last week. It had a volume of more than 13 million shares, up from its average volume of 3.8 million shares. It has a 52-week high of $27.12 per share and a 52-week low of $9.79 per share. Lowe's Companies, Inc. (NYSE: LOW) gained 1.25 percent, or $0.05, to trade at $4.04. Tekelec (Nasdaq: TKLC) gained 9.14 percent, or $0.16 to trade at $1.91.The shares surged on the news that the company is being acquired by private equity firm Sirius Capital Group for $761 million. It had a volume of more than 21 million shares, up from its average volume of 10 million shares. It has a 52-week high of $13.98 per share and a 52-week low of $5.64 per share. It has a total market capitalization of $766.14million.

Cisco Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CSCO) lost 0.94percent, or $0.17, to trade at $17.86. The company is scheduled to report its first quarter earnings on Wednesday.
