ADR Report: Wall Street Trades Sharply Higher After Data

The US stocks trades sharply higher on Thursday after German lawmakers vote for new powers for the euro zone's crisis fund and U.S. economic reports come in better than anticipated.

The Bank of New York Index for American Depository Receipts' (ADR) was trading higher by 2.07 points, or 1.81 percent to 116.14 on Thursday, with South Korea-based electronics company, LG Display Company Limited ADR (NYSE: LPL) being the biggest gainer in the index.

South Korea-based electronics company, LG Display Company Limited ADR (NYSE: LPL) was trading higher by 13.73 percent to $8.78 on Thursday. Among the biggest decliner was, Hong Kong-based advertising company, Focus Media Holding Limited ADR (Nasdaq: FMCN), was trading lower by 9.81 percent to $22.44 an ADR today.

The European Index for the ADR's was trading higher by 2.36 points, or 2.26 percent to $106.96, today.

Among the gainers in the European ADR's were, Amsterdam-based insurance and retirement services provider, ING Groep NV ADR (NYSE: ING) was trading higher by 10.35 percent to $7.78, and Switzerland-based financial institution, Credit Suisse Group was trading higher by 8.22 percent to $28.16 an ADR on Thursday. Among the decliners were, Denmark-based shipping company, TORM A/S ADR (Nasdaq: TRMD) was trading lower by 6.96 percent to $1.47, and France-based medical device maker company, EDAP TMS SA ADR (Nasdaq: EDAP) was trading lower by 1.02 percent to $1.95 an ADR.

The Asian ADR index was trading higher by 1.37 points, or 1.20 percent to 115.23 on Thursday.

Among the biggest gaining ADR's are, South Korea-based electronics company, LG Display Company Limited ADR (NYSE: LPL) was trading higher by 13.73 percent to $8.78, and China-based wireless interactive entertainment and media provider, KongZhong Corporation ADR (Nasdaq: KONG) was trading higher by 8.31 percent to $3.91. Among the Decliners are, China-based information technology services company, Camelot Information Systems Inc. (NYSE: CIS) was trading lower by 7.27 percent to $3.06 an ADR, and Hong Kong-based advertizing company, Focus Media Holding Limited ADR (Nasdaq: FMCN), was trading lower by 9.81 percent to $22.44 an ADR.

The Latin American Index was up 3.21 points, or 1.02 percent to 316.53 today.

Among the gainers were, Mexico-based cement company, CEMEX, S.A.B. de C.V. ADR (NYSE: CX) was up 4.34 percent to $3.61 an ADR, and Brazil-based aerospace and defense products maker, Embraer S.A. ADR (NYSE: ERJ) was up 3.89 percent to $26.47 an ADR. Among the decliners were, Mexico-based logistics and transportation company, Grupo TMM S.A.B. ADR (NYSE: TMM) was down 5 percent to $1.71 an ADR, and Mexico-based pharmaceutical products distributor, Grupo Casa Saba, S.A.B. de C. V. (NYSE: SAB) was trading lower by 2.57 percent to $11.01 an ADR on Thursday.
