ADR Report: Wall Street Trade Lower on Fed’s Economic Indications

The US stocks trade sharply lower on Thursday after the Federal Reserve indicated the U.S. economic slump could last for years.

The Bank of New York Index for American Depository Receipts' (ADR) was trading lower by 4.74 points, or 4.14 percent to 109.87 on Thursday, with Japan-based internet service provider, Internet Initiative Japan Inc. ADR (Nasdaq: IIJI) being the biggest gainer in the index.

Japan-based internet service provider, Internet Initiative Japan Inc. ADR (Nasdaq: IIJI) was trading higher by 3.45 percent to $10.75 on Thursday. Among the biggest decliner was China-based real estate internet portal operator, Soufun Holdings Limited (NYSE: SFUN) was trading lower by 13.41 percent to $12.66 an ADR today.

The European Index for the ADR's was trading down by 4.35 points, or 4.18 percent to $99.70, today.

The only gainer among the European ADR's was Greece-based alcohol-free beverage maker, Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company S.A. ADR (NYSE: LYG) was trading higher by 0.49 percent to $18.59 on Thursday. Among the decliners were, France-based 4G semiconductor solutions provider, Sequans Communications S.A. ADR (NYSE: SQNS) was trading lower by 10.29 percent to $5.84 an ADR, and Greece-based financial institution, National Bank of Greece SA (NYSE: NBG) was trading lower by 9.87 percent to $0.83 an ADR.

The Latin American Index was down 15.06 points, or 4.62 percent to 310.63 today.

There were no gainers among the Latin American ADR's today. Among the decliners were, Mexico-based cement manufacturer, CEMEX, S.A.B. de C.V. ADR (NYSE: CX) was down 7.18 percent to $3.62 an ADR, Chile-based regional bank, CorpBanca SA ADR (NYSE: BCA) was down 9.82 percent to $18.10 an ADR, Brazil-based retail stores and supermarkets operator, Companhia Brasileira de Distribuicao ADR (NYSE: CBD) was down 6.63 percent to $31.55 an ADR, and Brazil-based air transportation services provider, TAM SA ADR (NYSE: TAM) was trading lower by 6.96 percent to $18.57 an ADR on Thursday.

The Asian ADR index was trading lower by 3.76 points, or 3.27 percent to 111.11 on Thursday.

Among the biggest gaining ADR's are, Japan-based internet service provider, Internet Initiative Japan Inc. ADR (Nasdaq: IIJI) was trading higher by 3.45 percent to $10.75, and China-based solar power products maker, JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. ADR (NYSE: JKS) was trading higher by 4.51 percent to $6.02. Among the Decliners are, China-based real estate internet portal operator, Soufun Holdings Limited (NYSE: SFUN) was trading lower by 13.41 percent to $12.66 an ADR, and China-based online education provider, China Distance Education Holdings Ltd. ADR (NYSE: DL), was trading lower by 12.41 percent to $2.36 an ADR.
