Amidst the negative movement of the US market, several companies declared their future dividend plans. Some notable dividend payers are discussed here.

 

ITC Holdings Corp. (NYSE: ITC) raised its dividend 5.2 percent or 1.75 cents per share to 35.25 cents a share. The company has raised its dividend for the sixth time in as many years in an effort to return value to shareholders. The hike in dividend will cost the company nearly $3.6 million per year. Shares were down 1.53 percent or $1.12 to trade at $71.88.

 

Gap, Inc. (NYSE: GPS) declared a quarterly dividend of 11.25 cents per share, payable on or after October 26, 2021 to shareholders of record on October 12, 2011. Shares slipped 3.72 percent or 61 cents to trade at $15.81.

 

Principal Financial Group Inc. (NYSE: PFG) announced a cash dividend of $1.39075 per share on its 5.563 percent Series A non-cumulative perpetual preferred stock. It also declared a cash dividend of $0.407375 per share on its 6.518 percent Series B non-cumulative perpetual preferred stock. Both dividends will be paid on September 30, 2021 to stockholders of record on September 8, 2011. Shares slumped 5.42 percent or $1.29 to trade at $22.50.

 

Kraft Foods Inc. (NYSE: KFT) declared a quarterly dividend of 29 cents per share, payable on October 14, 2021 to shareholders of record on September 30, 2011. Shares lost 0.90 percent or 31 cents to trade at $34.22.

 

Martin Marietta Materials Inc. (NYSE: MLM) declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of 40 cents per share on its common stock. The dividend is payable on September 30, 2021 to shareholders of record on September 1, 2011. Shares fell 3.39 percent or $2.27 to trade at $64.65.

 

Coach Inc. (NYSE: COH) announced a quarterly cash dividend of 22.5 cents per share, payable on October 3, 2021 to shareholders of record on September 6, 2011. Shares tumbled 6.73 percent or $3.43 to trade at $47.57.

 

FNB Corp. (NYSE: FNB) declared a quarterly cash dividend of 12 cents per common share, payable September 15, 2021 to shareholders of record on September 1, 2011. Shares were down 4.88 percent or 44 cents to trade at $8.58.
