India awaits Kohli magic in England Tests

England cricket team to achieve major landmark during 1st Test vs Virat Kohli's India

Virat Kohli and his boys are on a mission and that is to beat Joe Root's England in their own backyard as 5-match Test series gets underway on August 1.

Kohli struggled against seam bowlers in 2014 with England paceman James Anderson dismissing the right-handed batsman four times in the series. "That is a skill", Buttler told reporters at The Oval.

"We are not anxious at all, because both are really quality batsmen", said India s Ajinkya Rahane of his top-order colleagues. Buttler is in the form of his life, having scored five consecutive half-centuries in the IPL before those Tests against Pakistan.

"The biggest thing I have learnt from the IPL is that it's obvious what the best players do and why they are the standouts", said Buttler. "It is hard to judge different players as I think they both are match-winning players. I feel like I have learnt a hell of lot from watching guys train and go about their practice, ways they react to certain pressure moments in a game as well", he added at an event staged by Test series sponsors Specsavers.

"It is the ultimate aim, I would love to achieve that feat", he said.

Reflecting on the Test, Sky Sports' Michael Atherton said: "I don't normally get nervous commentating because you just want to see good cricket". In fact, India vulnerabilities were exposed when they played a warm-up match against Essex. Naturally, you have friendships with them, but on the field they seem to be forgotten and everyone is competitive.

Apple's pricey iPhone X, subscriptions deliver earnings beat
All those iPhone sales help Apple in another way - services like Apple Music , the App Store and elsewhere are booming. Revenue rose 17 per cent to Dollars 53.27 billion, also exceeding Street forecasts for USD 52.37 billion.

A survey completed by 6,108 supporters ahead of this week's historic 1,000th Test for the England men's team came up with the side, which was drawn from a shortlist of more than 100 options. Not on the pitch but maybe on the training days and around the lunch room.

"It will be highly competitive", he said. "With the passion and vast amounts of skill they play with, it will be a huge challenge".

Their overall Test record in England is uninspiring - six wins from 57 matches and three series victories - 1971, 1986 and 2007. "It's a huge series".

With five matches to be played in six weeks, Broad also expected the bowlers to be rotated during the series, so that the workload can be handled properly.

England's other challenge is translating the form and confidence of the one-day side to the Test arena, something Buttler can appreciate better than most.

England required two wickets on the Sunday to draw level in the series, with Australia clear second favourites needing a further 107 runs with Shane Warne and Brett Lee at the crease and only Kasprowicz in the shed.
