Demi Lovato remains in hospital due to complications from drug overdose

Demi Lovato 'getting better' after reported overdose

It has been a week since paramedics responded to a call at Demi's home and rushed her to the hospital after an apparent drug overdose - she was give Narcan, a medication used to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose, by her friends.

Demi Lovato's Thursday concert in Atlantic City may have been canceled, but the singer and her music were still celebrated.

TMZ was the first to report, via some sources, that Demi is, unfortunately, "very, very sick" at the moment which is really worrisome.

One source said, "She is under the care of medical experts and is expected to make a full recovery".

Her hospitalization comes a month after she released her song Sober, in which she sings about relapsing, and in recent weeks had cut ties with her sober coach.

'Come and get me,' boy pleaded before California fire death
Bledsoe said he did not know his home was in danger when he left his wife and great-grandchildren to run an errand on Thursday. Shasta County Sheriff Tom Bosenko said he expects to find several of those people alive and just out of touch with loved ones.

As Lovato heals, thousands of fans from around the world have sent her love and support from afar. Representatives for the singer have disputed earlier reports that she overdosed on heroine.

It was thought she was ready to leave the facility, with it being claimed she was being released into the care of a rehab centre.

"Wilmer has spent hours at the hospital with Demi every day", a source said. After an overdose, it's encouraged to head straight to rehab. "However, it took her manager, Phil McIntyre, and others saying they'd walk away from her if she didn't get the help to convince her".

Wilmer has remained silent on social media following Demi's hospitalisation, but it's clear that Demi and her family are keen to keep him close.

Actor Matthew Scott Montgomery, who appears in her acclaimed YouTube documentary, "Simply Complicated", also addressed her hospital stay in a moving post about her unwavering friendship.
