Manchester City 'not disappointed' over losing Jorginho to Chelsea - Guardiola

Ireland underage international called up to Manchester City squad

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is interested in Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic and Real Madrid schemer Mateo Kovacic.

"It would have been a mistake for him if he came and he wanted to go to Chelsea with (new manager) Maurizio Sarri".

"I think it's the past", said the City boss during his press conference on the club's pre-season tour of the United States. If they want to come, that's great but if he wants to go to Chelsea, all the best for him. English football received an exceptional player at the end. He's training like a young guy of 18 years old.

A number of young players will get the chance to impress Guardiola while senior players Joe Hart and Jason Denayer have returned from loan spells to be part of the preseason squad.

So far the tentative interest in Hart - who has 75 England caps, but was left out of the World Cup squad - has come from overseas clubs.

Guardiola is prepared for Hart to "stay here" if no acceptable offer materialises.

With Tesla's market value down by $2 billion in one day, shareholders would be better off if Musk had followed his own advice. Divers completed the rescue of 12 boys last week while saying that Musk's submarine was "not practical for this mission".

It is a very depleted City squad with so many still on holidays after the World Cup in Russian Federation, but the likes of club-record signing Riyad Mahrez and German whiz-kid Leroy Sané are in an otherwise youth-heavy squad that has travelled to the United States.

However, Guardiola wished Jorginho well in England after missing out on his top midfield target.

"I know it's not easy for him given what's happened in the last period".

Germany winger Leroy Sane will join up with the squad when they land in the US and Patrick Roberts, Jack Harrison and Jason Denayer, who spent last season on loan, are also travelling.

"Over the next 11 days, we will play Borussia Dortmund at Soldier Field in Chicago, Liverpool at New York's MetLife Stadium and Bayern Munich in Miami's Hard Rock Stadium". "We are so happy to have him here". "I can't say why certain decisions were made".
