USA sanctions on Iran won’t disrupt crude supplies: Indian refineries

Crude Oil

Japan's Fuji Oil Co. and Taiwan's Formosa Petrochemical Corp. are discussing ending imports from the source of 10 percent of OPEC's output, though no final decisions have been made.

A report by the Energy Information Administration showed United States crude inventories dropped by 9.9 million barrels in the week ending June 22, the largest decline since September 2016.

Nobkhat revealed that his government is creating an emergency budget which will be discussed by parliament along with the public budget.

"It would not be a heavy lift for OPEC to replace Iran's contribution to world oil markets - Saudi Arabia could probably do it on its own", Krane said.

To this end, American asked Saudi Arabia to increase its oil production.

The Trump administration expects countries to zero out Iranian oil imports by November 4, and the State Department said it would be unlikely that anyone would be granted a waiver.

Last month President Donald Trump withdrew the United States from the landmark Iran nuclear deal, re-imposing USA sanctions that had been suspended in return for curbs on Tehran's nuclear programme.

In reality, Saudi Arabia decides how much to produce given market conditions, playing the role of swing producer, while the other members of the organisation essentially produce as much as they are technically able. Estimates are more toward a draw of -3 million barrels.

Cavani fires Uruguay into last eight as Ronaldo's World Cup dream ends
Uruguay , meanwhile, had not conceded a goal in 2018 - an impressive run of six games, three of them at Russian Federation 2018. In the 22nd minute, Suarez almost added his name to the scoresheet when he was brought down by Jose Fonte from around 25-yards.

However, there is no guarantee that the United States will overlook Japan's continuation of oil imports from Iran, as a senior Foreign Ministry official pointed out that the nature of the Trump administration is completely different from those of past USA governments.

Crude closes at a 3 1/2 year high amid shrinking stockpiles in the USA, disruptions at Libyan ports and other worldwide supply risks.

Indian refiners are confident that USA sanctions on Iran will not disrupt crude oil supplies because the global market has abundant supplies and numerous sellers.

This is the prediction from analyst Warren Patterson, who said that Opec was only expected to increase production by around 900,000 barrels per day. The future of Iranian crude exports was also in doubt. "Spare capacity, globally, is pretty thin and that bodes well for prices".

A major OPEC meeting on Friday resulted in an agreement to enhance production by up to 1 million barrels per day.

The OPEC pledge last week fell short of market expectations given the prospects for a supply deficit of close to 2 million barrels per day. The latest news were that Libyan National Army had passed control of the country's oil ports to a non-officially recognized National Oil Corporation affiliated with the eastern government of the country based in Benghazi.

OPEC's biggest problem in attempting to manage the oil market has always been its inability to control production from countries which remain outside the organisation.

This move is going to put more economic pressure on the Iranian regime than we have already seen.
