"Fortnite" Rocket Will Simultaneously Launch For All Gamers This Afternoon

Fortnite Playground mode LTM

Fortnite, the free-to-play game that has captivated gamers and non-gamers alike since it launched in 2017, made a record $318 million in revenue in May, beating out every game on any platform in the history of gaming.

And by the way people are talking about it online, it had its desired effect.

That means anyone in the United Kingdom can expect to hear more about the mode at about 3pm today.

But despite the fact that the rocket seems to finally be launching, that doesn't mean we're going to automatically know exactly what the rocket launch means, or what it does.

This was done through a pod that came out of the rocket and smashed a laser into Tilted Towers.

However, the Tilted Towers remain intact, with things getting a little unusual before the portal in the sky popped into view and started to grow. Whether that somewhere is indeed Anarchy Acres remains to be seen.

China, EU to form group to modernise global trade rules
US crude futures traded at $68.64 per barrel, up 0.1 percent for the day after Friday's 4.6 percent rally. The Dow Jones industrial average fell 1.33 percent, or 328.09 points, to close at 24,252.80.

This doesn't appear to include anything special though, and might not play a further role in the ongoing event. As this chart from Statista shows, it's a business model that's working for developers like Fortnite creator Epic Games. It looks like that rocket that can be found in the evil lair near Snobby Shores is about to launch in a real-time, one-time-only event that you'll need to make sure you're around in-game to see.

The mysterious announcement is likely referring to the launch of a missile, which many fans theorise will change the game forever.

It's also been rumoured that out of the rocket launch, a Fortnite Leviathan creature will surface.

Later Thursday night, a tweet revealed that more testing on matchmaking would be needed before releasing the mode again.

The Final Fight game mode forced teams to travel to a third and final circle, where the storm was halted and a countdown clock began.

One will be a 50v50 mode where one team controls the big Leviathan and has to escort him to Wailing Woods or Greasy Grove.
