South Korea's task gets harder with Ki to miss Germany…

Mesut Ozil

Sweden's players have put a turbulent 36 hours behind them and are ready to take on Mexico in a game they must win to advance to the knockout stages of the World Cup.

The first ten days of the contest was filled with surprises and the last round of the group stages could have some more in store for the lovers of the lovely game. Could Germany follow the same path?

- Mexico have failed to get beyond the last 16 since 1986, when they reached the quarter-finals as tournament hosts.

Kroos' mistimed pass led to Ola Toivonen's first-half goal for Sweden.

- Mexico could potentially be eliminated if they were to lose to Sweden and Germany were to beat South Korea, based on either goal difference, goals scored or fair play points.

Centre wants terrorism to end in Kashmir: Rajnath Singh
The names of advisers were cleared by the Union Home Ministry after the state was put under the Governor's rule . Governor's rule is implemented in India under Section 92 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir.

While the exuberant, post-match celebrations by Germany's coaching staff upset Sweden, they belied the champions' desire to show the rest of the world that their business in Russian Federation is far from over.

Previous meetings: The two sides have met on nine previous occasions, with Sweden getting the better of Mexico four times.

Reus was a substitute in the 1-0 defeat to Mexico, but given a starting role against Sweden he bundled in a 48th-minute leveller to drag Germany back into the game.

Korea, already being eliminated from the tournament, will be playing with nothing to lose and could make things hard for Die Mannschaft. "Now we have a situation that they can go through without winning the game", Sweden scout Tom Prahl told reporters.

Germany is capable of easily qualifying to further stages of the tournament, but one can not rule out the chances of them being eliminated in the first round.
