'Spider-Man: Homecoming' sequel title outed on Tom Holland's Instagram

Kamala Khan joins the Avengers

In the video, Holland first apologizes for "not having any announcements" but then says he just got the script, holds up his iPad, which very clearly displays the title and new logo for the film.

Spider-Man's death in Avengers: Infinity War remains one of the most-talked about and most emotionally devastating scenes in the entire movie, due in large part to Tom Holland's heart-wrenching performance.

A fan has parodied the Spider-Man sequel's title with a hilarious edit, retitling the film and setting it in space - quite far from home, indeed. She also appears in Avengers: Infinity War briefly on the bus when Peter needs a distraction to escape. "I wanted to apologise because there's no real revelation coming out this weekend about Spiderman 2. I'm super excited to read it", Holland said in the video.

And it's thanks to that gimmick that we now finally know what Spider-Man: Homecoming's sequel will be called.

In comic books, Silk is Cindy Moon, a classmate of Peter Parker who is also bitten by a radioactive spider and develops similar abilities.

Iran rebuffs Trump's call for OPEC to increase oil output

Jake Gyllenhaal (Nightcrawler, Okja) is set to play supervillain Mysterio in the sequel, with Michael Keaton reprising his role as Adrian Toomes/The Vulture as well, which could potentially mean we're finally getting The Sinister Six onscreen.

Spider-Man: Far From Home will be directed by returning director Jon Watts.

Tom Holland's habit of "spoiling" the biggest secrets of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (not to be confused with Mark Ruffalo's actual spoilers) continued on Saturday night.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is scheduled to premiere July 5, 2019.
