It is Trump's first public comment about the separations, which have been closely tied to the Trump administration's newly imposed "zero-tolerance" strategy on immigration.

Trump, who has refused to accept responsibility for the family separation policy, has come under increasing scrutiny over the policy and Democrats on Sunday escalated their attacks on the president.

President Trump himself said he hates the policy.

Four former first ladies also weighed in, led by Laura Bush, who wrote in a Washington Post op-ed: "This zero-tolerance policy is cruel".

"I live in a border state", she said.

Mr. Dershowitz agreed that immigration reform is necessary, but noted that the president had the authority to end the controversial policy today. She singled out the zero tolerance policy as not being the answer, calling it "cruel" and "immoral". She noted that the government, of which her husband, former President George Bush, dedicated much of his life to serving, should not be in the business of warehousing children in converted box stores or in tent cities in the desert outside of El Paso.

Oil prices fall on prospect of rising suppplies
OPEC has yet to set new production levels beyond that, but the cartel's oil ministers are meeting again next week in Vienna. Crisis-wracked Venezuela's oil production continued to shrink, plunging for the 10th straight month to 1.36 million b/d.

Stephen Miller, Trinity '07 and President Donald Trump's senior policy advisor, was "instrumental" in the decision to enforce a policy that separates immigrant children from their parents, according to the New York Times. "Where is the outcry for the killings and crime being caused by gangs and thugs, including MS-13, coming into our country illegally?" "What is being done in the name of religion is contrary to everything I was ever taught. Jesus said suffer the little children unto me - he did not say let the children suffer".

Melania Trump's spokesperson Stephanie Grisham told CNN the First Lady "hates" the family separation.

"What the administration has chose to do is to separate children from their parents to try to send a message that if you cross the border with children, your children are going to be ripped away from you", she said. If he means what he says about family separation, Katko should attach a provision to the bill that bars the administration from doing it.

Melania Trump, 48, issued a rare statement through her spokeswoman on June 17 that expressed her devastation over the current national crisis regarding immigrant children getting taken away from their parents at the American borders and it reflected a lot of compassion due to her own experience as an immigrant. She, who after the death of her 3-year-old daughter knew what it was to lose a child, believed that every child is deserving of human kindness, compassion and love.

"How do I locate my child (ren)?"

Both the ladies advocated the change in the practice of immigration laws.
