IG report 'destroys' ex-FBI Director Comey

Special prosecutor Robert Mueller

"The president has not issued pardons in this investigation".

Giuliani pushed back Sunday on the notion that in discussing his pardon power, the president had been suggesting doing anything untoward.

"The IG Report totally destroys James Comey and all of his minions including the great lovers, Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, who started the disgraceful Witch Hunt against so many innocent people", Trump tweeted Saturday morning, adding, "It will go down as a dark and risky period in American History!" "Mueller only gets an interview after he gets thoroughly investigated and we determine his conflicts, the biases and prejudices of his staff", Giuliani said.

Rudy Giuliani, personal attorney for President Donald Trump, said on Sunday that Trump isn't issuing any pardons in the special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation, but could after the probe was closed. He made clear on Sunday his view of Mueller's investigation, saying it was "on pretty weak grounds right now".

But, he added, "When it's over, hey, he's the president of the United States". What it should be, what I mean, is you will not get a pardon just because you are involved in this investigation. "Nobody is taking that away from him".

Citing findings in last week's Justice Department inspector general's report related to the conduct of two senior FBI agents, the former mayor called for a review of the origins of the Russian Federation investigation.

The country has diplomatic ties with both North Korea and the US. If you like this story, share it with a friend! Trump said the meetings are going on well.

Giuliani spoke on CNN's "State of the Union" and CBS' "Face the Nation", and Bannon appeared on ABC's "This Week". USA intelligence agencies concluded early a year ago that Russian Federation had sought to help Trump by meddling in the US election, and the FBI began investigating those efforts during the 2016 campaign, a probe that has continued and expanded since.

"WITCH HUNT! There was no Russian Collusion".

Mr. Giuliani said that the Russian Federation probe was based on documents that former FBI Director James Comey had "illegally leaked". "I did nothing wrong, there was no obstruction".

President Donald Trump tweeted on Friday that he believed his former campaign manager Paul Manafort received a tough sentence and wondered why the same hasn't happened for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey. "Too bad they didn't look at Crooked Hillary like this".

There are many answers to that question, but one thing Comey says didn't play a role was the questionable information he received that purported to show that then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch had promised to go easy on Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. "I don't know, but I want to find out before I go forward", Giuliani said.

The inspector general report released Thursday included new text messages, including one in which Strzok said "we'll stop" Trump.
