AIB have said that any AIB cardholders can continue to withdraw cash from AIB ATMs using their AIB Visa Card.

The company has said Visa transactions are not being processed due to a service disruption.

The extent of the problem is not clear, but Visa customers across Europe have been complaining on Twitter that payments have been denied.

Visa debit cards are not working across the United Kingdom and most of Europe after the company suffered a major network fault.
