Egypt FA: 'Mohamed Salah out for up to three weeks'

Salah took English football by storm last season when he scored 44 goals in all competitions, including earning the Premier League's Golden Boot accolade by netting 32 strikes.

Injured in the final of the Champions League May 26, Egyptian global football player Mohamed Salah may not be available for three weeks, according to the Egyptian football association (EFA).

The nature of Salah's injury is still unclear but Egypt's medical team are confident he will be available for the World Cup in Russian Federation. Its first group game is against Uruguay on June 15.

Egypt begins their campaign in World Cup Group A against Uruguay on June 15, before facing hosts Russian Federation on June 19 and Saudi Arabia on June 25.

Salah, 25, looked set to miss the global showpiece after suffering an injury in the UEFA Champions League final, but the Egyptian FA have since confirmed he'll recover in time to feature in Russian Federation.
