NFL players weigh sitting out season until Colin Kaepernick is signed

They are considering taking the action to force NFL teams to sign Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid

San Francisco 49ers players Eli Harold (57), Eric Reid (35) and Marquise Goodwin (11) kneel during the national anthem before a game against the Houston Texans in Houston on December 10, 2017. Players who do not wish to stand have the option of waiting in the locker room.

San Francisco 49ers safety Eric Reid, center, and quarterback Colin Kaepernick, right, kneel during the national anthem before an NFL football game in 2016.

Kaepernick filed a grievance last October against NFL owners for collusion, claiming they schemed to keep him off the football field because of his protests not his football ability. Reid a former first round draft pick for the 49ers, continued to kneeling after Kaepernick opted out of his contract with the team in 2017. He also said that the owners agree Kaepernick could otherwise be a starting quarterback, were it not for the political controversy.

Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross said Trump's statement "changed the dialogue".

The NFL player's has filed a grievance in his defense, finding a party guilty of basing its decision not to sign Reid on the fact he challenged the implementation of a club policy, the exact wording they used to mount Kaepernick's case against league owners.

President Donald Trump, who has been a strong critic of anthem protests, praised the new policy.

Even LeBron James might not be able to save these Cleveland Cavaliers
He had 13 points in the first quarter alone. "I feel like our guys feed off of them and it really just drives us as a group". At times throughout the game it appeared as if James was getting exhausted as his energy waned, so did the rest of the Cavs.

Geragos did not name the owner he said testified under oath that he didn't sign Kaepernick because of Trump.

Jones said he personally spoke with Trump about the issue...

But thus far, the debates about player protests have manifested as labor disputes. Just last week, the league announced it was changing its policy to bar players from kneeling during the anthem.

Kaepernick's lawyer, Mark Geragos, told the podcast host Amy Dash that the revelations emerged during depositions for Kaepernick's lawsuit against the league owners.

"Yeah. Well, bingo", Geragos said.
