Israel begins building marine barrier on Gaza strip

Two Palestinians killed by Israeli tank fire in Gaza

Israeli Defense Forces statements have claims that the force found a drone last week in the Northern Negev desert created to harm border patrols. The militant group admitted that two of its men had been killed. Israeli military stated that they were forced to enlist civilian amateur drone racers to help fighting a "kite terror", Haaretz reported May 13.

The bombing was a response to an explosive device placed on Saturday near the border fence between Gaza and Israel, according to the army.

Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces released a statement saying that their tank "targeted a military observation post in the southern Gaza Strip a short while ago".

Israeli aircraft struck two Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip on Saturday night, but there were no immediate reports of casualties, Palestinian security sources in the coastal territory said.

Islamic Jihad is the second-most powerful armed group in the Gaza Strip, after Hamas, which runs the Palestinian enclave.

The infiltration was one of numerous attempts over the weekend to breach and damage the border fence, the IDF said.

According to the army, the four threw a firebomb, and left a tent inside Israel with the message: "March of Return: Returning to the lands of Palestine". No injuries were reported in the incident. Over 10,000 Gazans took part in the demonstrations in the course of Friday and Saturday, the army said.

Tuesday's Gaza flotilla will coincide with the 8th anniversary of an Israeli attack on the Turkish "Mavi Marmara" flotilla, in which nine Turkish activists were killed when the Israeli navy attacked the vessel in global waters.

Israeli authorities are also constructing an underground barrier beneath the Gaza-Israel boundary to stop Hamas from digging tunnels into Israeli territory.

"The IDF and the security forces are working around the clock to defend the State of Israel, to protect the citizens of Israel and to defend the borders of Israel", the prime minister concluded.
