Seaman was transported to IU Health-Methodist Hospital and the other victim, a student, was taken to Riley Hospital in Indianapolis. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time. Jowitt said the situation was resolved quickly and the school has a full-time school resource officer.

Indiana's Senate Democrats issued a statement in response to Friday's school shooting expressing their condolences to the victims and calling for steps to prevent such shootings, including restrictions on guns.

Indiana State Police Sergeant John Perrine said the families of the victims have been notified and the students were being taken to Noblesville High School, where parents could pick up their children. He is reportedly in the seventh grade. "We are still conducting interviews to determine what happened in that classroom". We understand at least one student and an adult may be injured, and we are praying for the best.

The Noblesville shooting is the second school shooting in eight days. Police asked parents to have their ID ready and to be patient.

Seaman was a three-sport high school athlete in Mahomet, Illinois and is married with two young children. SWAT and K9 swept the school and found nothing. "Approximately 100 state police officers have been made available to work with local responders and will offer all assistance needed".

The student said this is the type of person the teacher and football coach is.

An unnamed student said that Seaman tackled the shooter. The teacher yelled at the students to call 911 and run out of the building. Their conditions were not released.

Jason Seaman's mother reports he was shot 3 times, including one bullet through abdomen. "You just never think it could happen in Noblesville, Indiana".

"I'm always telling my kids that I believe that they need to have daily school searches and not let them carry backpacks", she said. To all students, you are all wonderful and I thank you for your support. Here's everything you should know.

"Please pray for my son Jason", Kristi Seaman wrote.

A new threat has prompted another lock-down at Noblesville High School, the district said in an email to parents. He was hit 3...
