Trump White House Kills Off Yanny-Laurel Debate With 'Ridiculous' Clip

Audio recording sparks Internet debate

US President Donald Trump had the final word in the debate and settled it with: "I hear Covfefe".

The White House on Thursday jumped in on the "Yanny vs. Laurel" audio debate and it turns out President Trump doesn't hear either of the names that have split the nation.

"I hear covfeve", Trump says from his desk in the Oval Office, referencing the infamous typo published on his Twitter account previous year.

The age of your ears will also affect what you hear, the sounds of "Yanny play at a higher frequency than those of "Laurel".

In a video posted to Twitter, the White House staff revealed whether they were hearing "Laurel" or "Yanny". "Laurel" exists in the lower frequencies and "Yanny" exists in the higher frequencies.

Ocado shares jump 44% on tie-up with big U.S. grocer
It has struck partnerships with Groupe Casino in France, Sobeys in Canada, and ICA Group in Sweden. Over the next three years, they will aim to find locations for 20 fulfilment warehouses.

Not so, say White House deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley and director of strategic communications Mercedes Schlapp.

Others weigh in: presidential advisor Ivanka Trump claims it's laurel, while Vice President Mike Pence asks, "Who's yanny?" "I heard 'Yanny, '" said the puzzled Hetzel, when she looked up the word "Laurel". "Clearly you're getting your information from CNN, cause that's fake news, all I hear is yanny", she replies.

The white house staff having a little bit of fun there.

"All I hear is covfefe", President Trump says.
