US Could Sanction European Countries Over Iran, Bolton says

Did Iran bribe European diplomats to get the nuclear deal

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo dismantled the idea that Iran is better off without US involvement in the Iran Nuclear deal.

The U.S. could sanction European businesses that work with Iran, national security adviser John Bolton told CNN's Jake Tapper on Sunday. "It depends on the conduct of other governments".

So far, China, France, Russia, the U.K., European Union and Iran remain in the accord, which placed controls on Iran's nuclear programme and led to a relaxation of American economic sanctions against Iran and companies doing business there.

And regardless of Bolton's tough line on potential sanctions, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo suggested there was hope for a new nuclear deal with Iran that could "protect the world".

The or five signatory powers - China, Russia, France, United Kingdom, and Germany - remain in that agreement while Washington reactivates sanctions machinery, opening question of wher USA will penalize European companies with business with Iran.

Recall that the USA withdrawal from the agreement with Iran was an unpleasant surprise for the European allies of Washington, provoking instability in the oil market and strengthen the threat of war in the middle East.

In an interview with ZDF public television, Altmaier noted that the United States has set a 90-day deadline for foreign firms to comply with the return of sanctions and that this period can be used to convince Washington to change course.

What will be the end game between Israel and Iran?
He spoke as thousands of Iranians marched in anti-Israel and anti-US protests nationwide. They mostly base upon the current voluminous Syrian military infrastructure.

The most pressing was the question of how the United States intends to cooperate with the European countries which have not abolished the nuclear deal and continue to cooperate with Iran.

Iran's president is also pushing for the deal to continue. Bolton's comments confirmed that after that, Trump is willing to subject them to penalties.

"The imbecile Trump's pretexts and insane move following a psychological war and breach of contract and unilateral pullout from the [nuclear deal] and his idiotic remarks against the powerful Iran revealed again the imperialistic nature of the criminal American leaders", one group of protesters in Tehran said in a statement. "He (Trump) makes the decisions and the advice I give him is between us".

Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that he was leaving agreement sponsored by Barack Obama for lifting of sanctions on Iran in exchange for regime's stopping its nuclear career for a decade and accepting controls on it.

"There's a lot we can do to, and we should do it", said Bolton, who at the time was with the American Enterprise Institute think tank.

"I think at the moment there's some feeling in Europe - they're really surprised we got out of it, really surprised at the reimposition of strict sanctions".
