Guice slides to Redskins

The second round of the 2018 NFL Draft started with a long run on interior offensive linemen and running backs. After this deal took place, all hope seemed lost with the possibility of Guice joining the backfield of the Eagles, but the team ended up in a position where they could have selected him at No. 49 after trading up a few spots with the Indianapolis Colts. Guice was selected by Washington in the second round with pick No. 59.

Jackson was the first LSU prospect off the board in the 2018 draft, marking the latest that the Tigers have had their first prospect taken in any single draft since 2010 (Brandon LaFell, 78th overall). He added Guice had been described as "high maintenance" and "immature" during the pre-draft process.

"I think there's some things that some teams are anxious about in terms of some things in his history", Lions general manager Bob Quinn said, refusing to go into specifics.

What we do know is that Washington nabbed an elite on-field player with its second-round pick. "Lucky to get him, this is a hard-nose runner". Gruden called Guice "a character".

Guice never admitted he made up the allegations, although the National Football League released its findings Wednesday, stating its investigation could not find evidence such questions were asked.

Describing the incident, Hall said an off-duty officer called police for assistance due to a shoplifting suspect at the store. Dallas Police Chief Renee Hall said late Tuesday evening that all three victims are out of surgery in a Dallas hospital.

And it likely cost him a first-round selection. We tried to get to know them as a person and see how they fit in and we felt like he'll fit in just fine.

"I was watching my phone and it got down to two minutes and I thought it had passed", Williams said.

At LSU, Guice led all Southeastern Conference running backs with 1,387 yards rushing and 15 touchdowns despite starting just six games.

Gruden said Christian would remain at his natural position of tackle, which could open the door for Ty Nsekhe to move to left guard, where the Redskins don't now have a big-name starter.
