Alabama announces series with Notre Dame

These two contests will mark the first regular-season meetings between Notre Dame and Alabama since a two-game series in 1986 and 1987. Tidesports was the first to report Alabama was in talks for the games in March.

The big question, though, is who will be coaching Alabama when it plays Notre Dame in South Bend in 2028?

Notre Dame football will finally receive its opportunity for revenge against Alabama.

The schools announced plans for the home-and-home series on their social media accounts Thursday afternoon.

The Irish and Crimson Tide will play September 2, 2028, at Notre Dame Stadium, and September 1, 2029, at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

The first meeting will take place in South Bend, on September 2, 2028, with Notre Dame returning the trip to Tuscaloosa on September 1, 2029.

Joel Embiid Listed As Doubtful For 76ers' Game 3
It may not be long before head coach Brett Brown can reinsert Embiid back into the lineup, perhaps as early as Monday or Thursday. Dragic eventually capped a 6-0 run with a baseline jumper for a 104-96 lead with 2:25 left, and the 76ers never challenged again.

He added, "What a great opportunity this is for our program and for our fans to kick off the 2028 and 2029 seasons". Notre Dame's wins from that 2012 season were vacated this year due to the use of ineligible players. The Crimson Tide won the 1986 game at Legion Field 7-0.

The rumored home-and-home football series between Alabama and Notre Dame has become reality.

Notre Dame and Alabama played for the national championship in the 1973 Sugar Bowl.

"Alabama and Notre Dame represent two of the most storied programs in college football history", Alabama coach Nick Saban said in a statement.

Alabama has not played a home-and-home football series since Penn State in 2010 and 2011.
