Conditions range from severe weather in the lower Mississippi River Valley and southeast to blizzard conditions in the Northern Plains and upper Midwest.

Monday will be breezy and cooler with highs near 60 degrees. As high pressure to our south moves offshore Tuesday, temperatures will warm with above normal temperatures expected Wednesday and Thursday. Temperatures will be steady in the upper 20s to around 30 with wind chill levels in the teens. However, temperatures will still remain below average with highs in the 40's to low 50's though next weekend.

The timing of the severe weather is between the afternoon and 10 p.m., Live 5 Chief Meteorologist Bill Walsh said.
