Apple Co-Founder Wozniak 'Disgusted' With Facebook, Deactivates Account

Christopher Wylie, a whistleblower who once worked at Cambridge Analytica has said that it worked with Canadian company AggregateIQ

Facebook has estimated that as many as 87 million people possibly had their personal data improperly shared with firm Cambridge Analytica.

Wozniak said that Facebook doesn't protect its users' data the way Apple does, and instead profits from its user's information. He'd rather pay for using the services of Facebook than have his personal information violated for advertising. "As they say, with Facebook, you are the product".

He added, "Users provide every detail of their life to Facebook and". Those reported had alleged the firm of collecting information from 50 million Facebook users - in a recent update, Facebook confirmed the number is actually close to 90 million.

Zuckerberg will testify Tuesday and Wednesday on Capitol Hill about Facebook privacy and the Cambridge Analytica scandal.

"I am in the process of leaving Facebook", he wrote.

Germany edge in front ahead of Nadal-Zverev clash in Valencia
On Saturday, France's Nicolas Mahut and Pierre-Hugues Herbert will face Fognini and Simone Bolelli in the doubles. Croatia also took the lead against Kazakhstan as Marin Cilic brushed aside Dmitry Popko 6-2 6-1 6-2.

Wozniak told his friends on Facebook that the social network had "brought me more negatives than positives", saying that he is only retaining his account to prevent someone else from grabbing the Facebook screen name "stevewoz". "The truth is, we could make a ton of money if we monetized our customer - if our customer was our product", Cook said. "I can still cope with old school text and email messages". This is not the first time Zuckerberg faces concerns about privacy on the popular social site. He also applauded Apple over its commitment to user privacy.

Wozniak's move came only before face book CEO Mark Zuckerberg meant to testify before congressional committees regarding the corporation's Cambridge Analytica scandal.

As The Post's Tony Romm reported, lawmakers last month called on Zuckerberg to appear before Congress to respond to the controversy involving Cambridge Analytica. Facebook has never charged for access to its service.

Many critics argue that Facebook should do more to protect user data. Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg just recently stated that Facebook users should pay for the option to not have data-tracking ads.
