Amit Shah issues clarification on comparing opposition with animals

Congress president Rahul Gandhi meets supporters during his Jan Sampark Yatra in Shimoga on Tuesday

Lakhs of Party workers from various parts of Maharashtra are expected to attend the BJP Maha Melava to be held at the MMRDA grounds in the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai today. The BJP chief backtracked his comment an hour later saying that what he implied was parties with different ideologies are joining together to contest next election against BJP and Narendra Modi.

Sharma said party chief Rahul Gandhi has announced a plan to hold a fast in all district headquarters to help promote peace, brotherhood and harmony in the country.

He said at present, 70 per cent of the country's population was under BJP rule.

"People have taken us to this level and now we have to live for them", he said.

"In the BJP there are no divisions, no dynasty politics and no I versus you".

Addressing BJP MPs on the party's foundation day, Modi kept the Congress in his line of fire and spelt out an exercise by party lawmakers and ministers for reaching out to villages with substantial Dalit and tribal population through implementation of his government's seven key welfare schemes.

Despite signs of trouble within the NDA, with the Chandrababu Naidu-led Telugu Desam Party (TDP) having recently walked out of the alliance and old allies like the Shiv Sena constantly threatening to quit, Shah shrugged off any conflict, saying the number of allies has only grown since 2014. "Similarly, our PM has created fear within the opposition, which is now teaming up to fight the BJP in the election", said Shah.

Eagle lands on Mariners pitcher before game
Maybe the Eagle will give him the good luck he needs to turn around his 11.00 ERA. "I guess the eagle knew I was Canadian ". And Paxton wound up as the landing spot, sticking its talons into his back.

Later, he said his intention was not to equate opposition parties to animals.

Calling on party workers to use technology to spread their message, PM Modi said that in current age of social media if they are not active, then they would cede the space to anti-national and anti-social elements.

The BJP president's remarks came in the backdrop of the recent controversy and agitation after a Supreme Court ruling regarding the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, which is seen by many as dilution of the law. They (opposition parties) are turning increasingly violent against the BJP.

"Our golden period will come when we win Bengal and Odisha and retain power under the leadership of Narendra Modi in 2019 with a full majority", he said.

"The same cannot be said about anybody from the Sangh Parivar and it was because of the struggles and sacrifices that a tea-seller could become the Prime Minister".

Shah answered and said that the people of the country are questioning on Congress' rule of four generations. However, after this, Shah said that the golden period of the BJP is yet to come. "They can not imagine that when we got the opportunity to elect a Deputy Speaker, we selected Shri Suraj Bhan, who belonged to the Dalit community and later Shri Karia Munda, who is a tribal leader".
