Fortnite gets vending machines and lots of explosions with new update

Epic Games Looking into Fortnite Shotgun Damage Bug

With a recent slew of problems that have affected the game from server issues to game related bugs like the shotgun critical damage glitch, Epic has chose to slow its schedule and release a new patch every two weeks. The week in-between will play host to "content updates" such as the one we're getting today. The first such "content update", as Epic calls them, has arrived on all platforms and introduces the Vending Machine, among other changes and additions.

Fortnite is doing away with weekly version updates for their Battle Royale and Save the World modes.

Vending Machines come as part of the most recent Fortnite update, and work just as you might imagine them to: to purchase a trade materials. The higher the rarity, the higher the price. As expected, there's at least one vending machine in almost every named location on the map.

For example, items found in a Common (white) version will cost 100 materials whereas items found in an Epic (purple) version will cost 400 materials.

Each material type- wood, metal, and stone- would have a corresponding item that it could be exchanged for.

Fox is Offering to Sell Sky News Channel to Disney
It provisionally ruled that Mr Murdoch would have too much influence over public opinion if the deal went ahead as planned. Some Sky shareholders, frustrated by the delay, had already said Fox should increase its 10.75 pounds-per-share offer.

The added wrinkle in this particular challenge, however, is that you need to find a hidden gnome in seven different named locations in Fortnite Battle Royale. They do not always appear in the same locations. The Vending Machines can be found "in many locations across the island".

"Every other week we will drop new content without the need for an update". More importantly, balance changes are being implemented for weapons.

These aren't simply buffs for the weapons, as damage falloff-the distance at which their damage is reduced-has also been altered. Epic will also now be updating the game every two weeks.

Fortnite is out now for PC, PS4, Xbox One and iOS.
