Apple's working on curved iPhones with touchless gestures

IOS 11.4 beta 1

Bloomberg reported that Apple is still figuring out how iPhone users can control some tasks by moving a finger near the screen. This iPhone display would have a screen that curves inward gradually from the top to the bottom of the phone.

In terms of the display itself, the report says Apple's interpretation will curve in slightly at the top and bottom of the screen. According to a new report, Apple is now working on curved iPhone displays which may arrive in a couple of years. The only catch with the new features is that they won't be available for at least two years, according to Bloomberg. Both the new gesture control and display technologies are still in the early research and development phases, so Apple could ultimately decide not to include them in future devices. The only one that has a slight curvature is the iPhone X. The gesture would take into account the proximity of a finger to the screen. Apple is also working on new screen technology, called MicroLED, but that's around three to five years away.

Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Still, other companies have implemented similar features in the past. After all, Apple's said to be sourcing most of its OLED technology from the South Korean giant anyway.

Ibra soars for Galaxy with superb brace on his debut
It continued Ibrahimovic's streak of scoring in his first game for every club he has played for. "That's just world class. Vela scored in the 5th minute, curling a shot from outside the penalty box in to give LAFC a 1-0 lead.

Apple is preparing something new for its future iPhones. Samsung is already working on a foldable smartphone, while Huawei is seeing increased success in Asia. There is a new phone being released every month it seems like, and Apple feels the need to step their game up to compete. Apple's design would require gestures to be closer to the screen than with Project Soli, the person familiar with the situation said.

Trust Apple to be different.
