Terrelle Pryor leaving Redskins to join the New York Jets

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Terrelle Pryor runs for a touchdown during the second half of an NFL football game against the Miami Dolphins Sunday Sept. 25 2016 in Miami Gardens Fla

He managed just 20 passes for 240 yards and one touchdown. Pryor's stay in Washington did not yield similar results, while his season was also cut short due to an ankle injury that required surgery.

The 28-year-old wide receiver appears to be on the way to the New York Jets for the 2018 season according to Ian Rappaport.

The specifics of the contract have not been released as of yet, but after Pryor's last season with the Washington Redskins under a one-year, $8 million deal, it's assumed that his contract with the Jets will not break the bank. The latter wrote: "Welcome to the squad Terrelle Pryor", via his official Twitter account, to which the wide receiver replied: "Love!" Perhaps Pryor will ultimately fit into New York's long-term plans.

As I said in a recent piece when Pryor's visit was first reported, Pryor will be a good fit with the Jets. Armed with ample cap space, the Jets have more than enough money to throw a deal at Pryor. In addition to the two vertical threats, the Jets also have Jermaine Kearse and Quincy Enunwa. But none profiles as a No. 1 guy.

Massive $457M Powerball jackpot goes to single victor
If you bought a Powerball ticket in Pennsylvania for this past Saturday's drawing, you may be holding a piece of paper worth $457 million.

For as bad as the Browns' quarterback situation was in 2016-Cody Kessler, Robert Griffin III and Josh McCown all started at various points-Pryor may have benefited from a lack of options in Cleveland's receiving game.

Pryor immediately is the No. 1 option in NY, provided that he can stay healthy. Even if they did give him a slight overpay, they have enough cap space that it won't be an issue.

At 6-foot-4 and 228 pounds, Pryor boasts the prototypical physique the Redskins thought they needed to improve their passing game in the red zone. He didn't pan out and the squad brought in Paul Richardson to replace him.

Pryor seemed to confirm the move when he replied to a tweet by current Jets defensive back Jamal Adams.
