Kagiso Rabada handed two-match ban for conduct breach

South Africa vs Australia 2nd Test Day 1 at Port Elizabeth Live Cricket Streaming

South Africa bowler Kagiso Rabada will miss the remainder of the Test series against Australia after he was found guilty of bumping into Steve Smith's shoulder on day one of the second Test in Port Elizabeth.

The fast bowler, who faces a ban from the remaining two Tests of the series, took six for 54 as Australia were bowled out for 239 in their second innings.

The David Warner-Quinton de Kock shenanigans left a sour taste in the mouths of both camps and emotions were high. For me, they are not.

"It's what I always wanted to do", Rabada said when he reached No.1 for the first time in January. Four demerit points equals a one-Test or two ODIs/T20s, whichever comes first.

Kagiso Rabada ran havoc yet again as Australia perished after a not so worthy lead of 100 on day 4 at Port Elizabeth.

"He (Rabada) has to show that passion, otherwise you can just put a bowling machine and robot to bat".

Rabada is one of the most popular cricketers in South Africa, mainly for his major talent but also because he is a young black player in a sport focusing on bringing black players through to the national team to erase the legacy of apartheid.

"I found that there was contact between Rabada and Smith‚ and in my judgment the contact by Rabada was inappropriate and deliberate‚" the ICC media release quoted match referee Jeff Crowe as saying.

The South Africa captain also said that the ICC's demerit points system was doing Test cricket no favours, and added that Rabada's incident should have carried the same points as Warner's offence when the Australian opener and de Kock were charged for being involved in a scrap.

Khloe and Tristan Thompson's little one will also be decked out in a Givenchy Kids leather jacket for a mere $1,450. The interesting thing is my mom is a hoarder, but she demands cleanliness and structure from me (and all her kids).

"He had the opportunity to avoid the contact and I could not see any evident to support the argument that the contact was accidental".

Rabada did not respond to Marsh and continued on to celebrate with his teammates, and ended with figures of 6/54 to end with 11 wickets in the match.

Rabada accepted blame for the incident. "To be honest, I just let it out", he said.

"I have to move forward".

"If I do get banned I will have to see it as a big learning curve and not repeat the same mistake because I've repeated the same mistake in the eyes of the umpires". I'm not happy about it.

"I won't change the way I express myself ..."

The bemused and frustrated Proteas team have just come off a series against India where practically every batsman who was dismissed received a screaming send-off from Virat Kohli and Co, but the only player to be disciplined was Rabada for waving goodbye at a batsman and wishing him "bon voyage" in some choice language.

He was fined 50 per cent of his match fee and picked up three demerit points after a disciplinary hearing following his denial of the charge, an International Cricket Council (ICC) statement said on Monday.

Rabada claimed the man of the match award and now both the teams will lock horns with each other in the third game in Cape Town to be played between 22nd and 26th March.
