Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is going to launch its new Redmi series smartphone called Redmi 5 on 14 March. This is because Xiaomi has always been known to provide better, affordable products and this could mark the beginning of Xiaomi's launch-spree in the TV market as well. Xiaomi Redmi 5 was launched in China in December previous year. It comes in three storage variants: 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, and 4GB RAM and 32GB storage.

The Redmi 5A (2GB RAM + 16GB storage) price in India is back to the original Rs. 5,999.

According to TENNA's listing, the upcoming Lenovo S5 smartphone to sport a 5.65 Inch full-HD+ display. The company has already teased many features of the smartphone including the camera.

Xiaomi recently launched the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro which starts at Rs 9,999 and is pegged at a higher segment. But, you never know, Xiaomi might launch more than just one TV as they are claiming to launch a new series. It is available in elegant gold, rose gold, dark gray color variants. The resolution of the display is 720×1440 pixels. The bezels are still available but it will be thinner than traditional 16:9 aspect ratio smartphones. It is powered by a 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 450 processor, along with Adreno 506 GPU, 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage. The fingerprint sensor is provided in the rear panel. The budget smartphone features a capacious battery that is touted to provide a long-lasting battery backup and comes with a dedicated microSD card slot as well.

Furthermore, the device would be running on an Android 8.0 Oreo operating system out-of-the-box. It will also come equipped with a 12MP rear camera along with a 5MP front-facing camera.
